Brookfield Asphalt Repair

At this job the asphalt settled in front of the garages at a large condo complex in Brookfield, Wisconsin.  This picture is part of the infrared patching process. You can see the old asphalt that settled up against the concrete. The old asphalt is heated up to soften it and it is raked to bond it to the new asphalt. New, hot asphalt is added and hand leveled. The asphalt is then compacted to leave a seamless asphalt repair that will hold up better than the surrounding asphalt. The asphalt is partially raked in this picture and you can see the heater on the left side heating the next area of the strip to be repaired.

During Brookfield Asphalt Repair

This picture shows the driveways after some of the infrared heats were done. As you can see the new asphalt is welded into the old and there is no saw cut for water to get into and there is no bump to catch with a shovel or snowplow. Almost all patches like this are a permanent solution and usually outlast the surrounding asphalt. You will be surprised how affordable infrared asphalt patching in front of your garage is when compared to removing and replacing the area, or a cheap skin patch that will flake up and need to be done over next year. Often times we are called out to do jobs like this for other asphalt contractors.  Supersealers Asphalt Maintenance Dousman contracted with us to this job.
